The Rhodia Webnotebook is the premier hardcover notebook for people who value high-quality journals and writing books.
This black Rhodia notebook has a dot-grid layout that makes a beautiful design journal or architect's notebook. It has a thick, smooth French-leatherette (artificial leather) cover that is soft to touch and is supported by a robust cardboard. It has an elastic-strap closure, expandable inner pocket and the Rhodia Logo embossed on the front cover. The A5 notebook is great for notetaking and fits easily into your bag.
The ivory-coloured 90gsm paper stock is absolutely beautiful. It offers an exquisite writing experience and is a joy to thumb through. It is definitely feather-free and bleedproof – no caveats required.
- Amazing all rounder. Review by Alexander
This notebook is amazing. At a glance, it has a strong and nice feeling hard cover, a handy bookmark ribbon and an elastic to keep it closed.
Going further you come across the ivory 90 gsm clairefontaine paper, the highlight and cornerstone of the notebook. It feels thick and premium to the touch, and probably the smoothest paper that I've tried, and I've tried quite a few. It has moderately slow dry time, which does wonders for shading and allows a little sheen to emerge, although not as much as TRP, it's still a decent amount. The dot grid is opaque enough not to be noticed once the page is written on, but still a great guide on an unwritten page.
If you wanted a more organisation focused notebook, I would recommend the newest member of the Rhodia family, the goalbook.
Another bonus with this notebook being so popular is there are 3rd party covers and add ons that are made specifically for it (I personally use a leather cover and it fits like a glove). The paper quality is what I really look for in a notebook though and this one nails it. This notebook is just right for my needs and if it had another bookmark ribbon then it would be perfect, as it is it'll have to settle for just being amazing.

- Possibly my favourite A5 notebook Review by rajini
- This notebook is much more substantial than the Moleskine equivalent. The paper is definitely fountain pen friendly, and I prefer the ivory colour to other Rhodia pads and Clairefontaine paper. The dots are not as subtle as I expected, but I am used to blank paper so I would notice anything on my writing paper. The price is the only thing that makes me think twice about repurchasing.
