Where is Milligram based?
Our entire operation is based in Melbourne, Australia. Our head office is in Collingwood, just off the iconic Smith St, and all orders ship from our warehouse in West Footscray.
Can I shop in person?
We've now got six locations in Melbourne, with more to come. Check out our Stores page for locations and opening hours (including public holidays).
When will my order ship?
We're always working to get your orders on their way to you as quickly as we can. Express Post orders will typically leave the warehouse in 1-2 business days, while Standard Shipping orders will be dispatched within 2-4 business days, though there may be some delays around sales and peak periods. Premium gets priority dispatch, and leaves the warehouse the same or next business day. You'll get a notification when your order has started its journey so you can track its progress.
When will my order arrive?
For orders shipping to Australian addresses, allow 2-5 business days for it to arrive. Most of our orders will ship with Australia Post's eParcel service, so you'll be able to track it once it leaves our warehouse, and that service will give you a more accurate estimate for when your order might arrive. If you need your order quickly, you can select Express Post at checkout, which will usually be delivered in 1-3 business days (depending on where in Australia it's going). For larger items, we may use other courier services, and we'll provide tracking for those deliveries when the order leaves our warehouse.
Melbourne Metro customers can also select our Same Day courier service for orders placed before 1pm weekdays. Same Day orders are delivered between 6pm and 9pm, so they're best-suited for residential addresses.
For addresses outside Australia, please allow 2-4 weeks for orders to arrive. International orders are shipped with Australia Post, and this service includes tracking, so you'll receive a more accurate estimate when your order leaves our warehouse. Milligram is not responsible for any customs requirements when your order reaches its destination.
Can you leave my order outside my door?
We now send all our Standard and Express Post parcels with Safe To Leave authority, so Australia Post can do contactless deliveries. If you'd prefer the security of a signature, you can change the setting on your delivery through the AusPost app.
Where do you ship to?
Milligram ships around Australia and to countries all over the world, including the New Zealand, USA and Canada, Mexico, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Germany, Sweden, Greece, Spain, Belgium, Brazil and Israel.
What payments do you accept?
Milligram accepts Credit Cards (Visa, Mastercard and AMEX), Paypal and AfterPay.
How long do personalised orders take?
Each customised pen and notebook is created when you order, so this can add some extra shipping and handling time. We recommend allowing an extra 3-5 business days for your personalised order to be on its way to you.
When can I collect my order?
Click & Collect orders are typically ready within 1 business day. while Ship to Store orders can take 3-7 business days to transfer your products to the selected store. In both cases, staff will notify you via text message or email when your order is ready to collect, so hold off until you get confirmation that your order is ready.
What can I order via Click & Collect?
Anything that's in stock at your selected store will be available to order via Click & Collect.
What's the difference between Click & Collect and Ship to Store?
Click & Collect draws on the range each store has in stock – if your preferred store has what you're after in stock, you can place a Click & Collect order and it will be ready to collect within 1 business day.
If what you want isn't in stock at your preferred store, but we have some at the warehouse, you can place a Ship to Store order and we'll get your items delivered to the store for you. This can take between 3 and 7 business days.
Can I pick up part of my order now and have the rest sent to the store?
If you want to pick up some items straight away, but some will need to be shipped to the store, we recommend placing separate orders – one for the items that are currently in stock, and one for the items to be shipped.
Can I get an item moved from one store to another, or shipped directly to me?
Unfortunately, we are not able to home-deliver orders from stores, nor can we move stock between our physical stores.
What if all or part of my order isn't available?
Though we try to ensure accuracy as best we can, our system may be showing an inaccurate stock on hand. If your chosen store doesn't have the stock required to fulfil your order, you'll be notified by text message and email within the business day.
How can I return an order?
Every time you shop at Milligram, you're covered by our Simple 100 Day Return policy. So if your purchase isn't exactly what you had in mind, check out our Returns page for more information on how to start the return process.
Can anyone join Friends For Life?
We want to be friends with everyone! Anyone in Australia or New Zealand can join the Friends For Life program – sorry other countries, just locals for now.
How do I join Friends For Life?
If you are an existing customer or email subscriber there is no need to join – you are already entitled to enjoy and experience the Friends For Life Program. If you have not previously signed up, you can sign up in-store or online.
To sign up for Friends For Life, you must provide a unique email address.
How can I check my loyalty status?
You can login to your account online at any time to see your status and see how far away you are from reaching the next tier.
Is there a Friends For Life loyalty card?
As part of our commitment to reduce our carbon footprint and be a sustainable brand, the Friends For Life program is all online - no card needed!
Can someone else be included on my Friends For Life account?
Each individual needs to have their own account. This will ensure that you can also receive benefits based on your purchases and that we keep your personal information safe.
If I shop online and in-store do all the purchases go on my account?
Yes, all purchases made at milligram.com and at any Milligram stores are linked to the same Friends For Life account.
I'm already a Friend For Life – how will I fit into the new program?
When the new program launches, your purchases from the previous 12 months will be taken into account and you will be placed in the relevant tier, and we'll review your tier in a year.
I currently get 10% off for life – will I still get this?
If you already get 10% off on every purchase, you'll move straight into our Friends Forever tier. You will remain at that level for a year, after which your tier will be determined by your purchases over the past 12 months.
What are the Friends For Life tiers and how do they work?
The Milligram Friends For Life program has three levels of recognition.
LEVEL 01. PEN PALS – 0-$199.99 SPEND PER YEAR (12 MONTHS)

As well as all the exclusive offers, invitations and special birthday love, we treat our Besties to a welcome gift, plus two vouchers a year just to say ‘thank you for being a friend’.
LEVEL 03. FRIENDS FOREVER $400+ SPEND PER YEAR (12 MONTHS)
We’ve saved the best for last – our Friends Forever deserve nothing less.
On top of all the other goodies that come with being our friend, Friends Forever get a mates-rates discount on every purchase, plus upgraded welcome gifts and vouchers.
How do I move up a Friends For Life tier?
As soon as you sign up to the program you start to receive the benefits of Friends For Life Level 01.
If you accumulate $200 worth of purchases in a 12 month period, we'll automatically upgrade you to Friends For Life Level 02.
If you accumulate $400 worth of purchases in a 12 month period, we'll automatically upgrade you to Friends For Life Level 3.
Once you step up a Friends for Life tier, you'll enjoy the benefits of that level for 12 months unless you spend enough during this 12 month period to upgrade you to a higher level.
How do I maintain my Friends For Life tier?
Once you reach a Friends For Life Level, you'll enjoy the benefits for 12 months unless you spend enough to move up a level and enjoy even more of the benefits of the program.
Upon you Friends For Life anniversary date i.e. the end of the 12-months, we'll review the Friends For Life spend and automatically set your Friends For Life tier.
What is a Friends For Life Anniversary Date?
You ‘Friends For Life Anniversary Date’ is 12 months from the date you reached your current Friends For Life Level. You can view your anniversary date online in the My Account section under ‘Friends For Life’ or ask a host at your nearest store.
How is my Friends For Life spend calculated?
Your spend over the past 12-months is reviewed daily, so each purchase you make will contribute to your Friends For Life Level. All purchases are tallied overnight, so if you have spent enough to upgrade a level, this will be reflected and you will be notified the next day.
Spend is calculated in Australian dollars.
Friends For Life spend excludes returns, refunds and delivery charges. Friends For Life spend includes GST.
Please note online orders are not included in Friends For Life spend until they have been processed and shipped.
What gifts will I get?
We put together a very special gift for our Level 2 and 3 Friends For Life members. The gift changes periodically so we can’t tell you what it will be, but you will receive an email 1 week after you achieve your Friends For Life level to let you know that your gift is ready to collect!
How do I receive my gift?
You'll receive an email letting you know when your gift is ready to claim. You can simply pop into your nearest Milligram store to collect your gift (no purchase necessary), or you can redeem it online with a purchase – once you log in, your Friends For Life gift will automatically appear during checkout.
While we endeavour to offer a gift to every customer, stocks are limited, and you will only have 3 months to redeem your gift.
What is the biannual voucher?
Twice a year, customers in Tier 2 & 3 will be offered an exclusive voucher (value is dependent on your level). There is no minimum purchase to use your, but it must be redeemed within 14 days.
What is the Birthday Discount?
The birthday discount will be a one-time-use 20% off discount code. This code can be used online or in-store and will be sent to you one week before your birthday. It will expire after 14 days and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
How much does Click & Collect cost?
Click & Collect and Ship to Store orders have no cost or minimum spend.
